How the technology is chosen
Active disease and its aftermath are not the same treatment target.
Inflammation, pigmentation, redness, texture and scarring may all coexist with active acne, but they are not addressed by the same treatment. Assessment first separates what's currently active from what's residual. A device aimed at sebaceous-gland biology occupies one role in that plan — treating active acne — while pigment, vascular change or scarring, when present, are reserved for the treatments built for them.
